Time in Eluneia is measured in a multitude of ways, though many of the basic principles are no different from our world:

• A day has 24 hours, an hour has 60 minutes, a minute has 60 seconds
• A week has 7 days
• A year has 357 days, divided across 12 months, that each have 29 or 30 days

Years are measured in three ways:

• SR - Sethai Reckoning - Years counted from the foundation of the Sethai Federation
• AR - Atan Reckoning. Years since the Great Cataclysm
• NR - New Reckoning. Years since the great migration following the Unbinding
• IC - Imperial Calendar, the calendar used by the Naderi Empire

All recent events are expressed using NR notation. Events prior to the Unbinding are expressed using either SR or AR (for events in Eluneia) or IC (for events in Danaros).

Eluneian Calendar

The calendar currently in use by the various nations is the Eluneian Calendar, which has the following months

Dates on the Eluneian Calendar are generally written in the following form:

• nth month, Yyear era

So the 5th day of Paelië in the year 34 after the great migration would be: 5th Paelië Y34 NR

Imperial Calendar

Years on Danaros are slightly shorter than on Eluneia (336 days), and as such dates on Danaros are expressed using the imperial calendar:
